A major downside to owning a racehorse can be the cost of monthly training fees for poor prize money, with the risk of injury & being left with nothing after paying for the horse initially.
99.9% of owners do not show a profit.
This is something that our breeding and racing model protects our owners against.
From our own stud we breed our mares with affordable yet commercial stallions.
Every year we select certain horses from our breeding program that we will race.
In these carefully selected horses we offer a very limited number shares.
We could not be further removed from some of these highly advertised money making schemes that can number 50,000 shares representing a 0.002% holding which is nonsense !
You do not own anything or have an equitable stake so essentially you are paying a subscription.
Some are quoted as stating you get a "chance to visit the racing yard" and are entered into a ballot to get an owners badge for which you often have a 1 in 6250 chance !
Our owners package puts those to shame.
With Mount Farm Stud Racing you will have an owners badge every time YOUR horse runs and you are guaranteed visits to our stud & the racing yards.
Mares & Foals
We are very privileged to work with some of the best studs in the UK.
The mares that enter our breeding program are studied & selected using data from pedigree and performance.
We regularly buy from Darley, Godolphin, Shadwell & Juddmonte Farms who are all major players on the world stage in racing.
The mares are nominated to stallions after ticking all the boxes in our selection process.
This starts with the care and attention they receive whilst at stud.
Every mare goes to the stud to foal and comes back with her newborn foal after a few months.
Our principle is that the stud has facilities & highly experienced staff onsite to deal with almost any problem during foaling thus assuring 1st class care & attention for our mares & foals at all times.
We only visit stallions which offer a 20/20 rating from our computer mating analysis software.
This indicates how successful a particular mating with a specific cross has or has not been.
Only then do we start to select the stallions for our mares.
For over 8 years we have sent our mares to foal at Shade Oak Stud where we feel the care our mares receive is second to none, the pictures in our gallery underline that.
We have been blessed with some beautiful foals that have grown into very nice horses that are now going into training & the sales.

From our own stud located on the Welsh / English border close to Shrewsbury.
We have around 25 broodmares and have varying numbers of youngstock throughout the year.
Onsite we we have our owners lounge & bar with 85inch screen for those special sporting occasions.
A stay onsite will open many peoples eyes to the daily routine and hard work that goes into giving the horses the best possible care throughout their lives.

BECOME AND OWNER
Mount Farm Stud Racing Partnership gives you an equitable share and an interest in all horses in training.
Mount Farm Stud retain a 25% holding in the partnership.
Leaving a maximum of 15 x 5% shares for every horse in training.
The horses in training offer year round involvement and a variety of codes and race distances etc.
There is no initial share purchase cost just a clear & transparent £130 per month fee per share.

There are no added extras at any stage.
You will always get an owners badge when the horses run & recieve your share of all win and place prize money once racing costs have been deducted.
